Akaitcho University and College Entrance Preparation Program (UCEPP)
Akaitcho Territory Government now offers financial assistance to Akaitcho First Nation registered members who are enrolled in a bridge/entrance program that when completed will help members gain access into their desired post-secondary education program.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Registered to a Akaitcho Territory First Nation of Deninu Kue First Nation (DKFN), Lutsel K’e Dene First Nation (LKDFN), Yellowknives Dene First Nation (YKDFN) Dettah and Ndilo
- Enrolled Part-Time/Full-time Post-Secondary Education Program recognized public education facility
- Applications are valid for 1 school year only
- Must not be eligible for Student Financial Assistance (SFA) through the GNWT
- Enrolled and attending a UCEPP program at an accredited Canadian post-secondary institution
- Have not received the maximum allowance of UCEPP funding
- Be in good standing with the program (no withdrawals before semester ends)
Application Checklist:
- Akaitcho UCEPP Application filled out
- Akaitcho Members must provide a copy of their Status Card or Official Letter.
- Must Submit Response letter(s) from other funding sources
- Clear Copy of Health Care Card, including copies for all claimed dependents
- Clear Copy of Identification
- Most Recently Attended School Transcripts
- Acceptance Letter
- Copy of Course Schedule

- The Adult Learning and Basic Education/Adult Literacy and Basic Education (ALBE) is not eligible for UCEPP funding.
